Hello:
Sorry about the delay in emails. I had some problems with my server for the past few days. We are going along nicely here. Byron and crew are busy connecting the east tunnel and laying down track. Most of the digging areas are tight at the moment, so we will be softening the ground this coming week.
We have had visitors for a few days. Joe and Susan Kelbaso (sp?) were here from home (San Diego). They have been traveling around the UK and stopped here in Weardale for a few days. They went to the mine on Friday and Saturday we showed them some of the history of the area including Hadrian's Wall and Vindolandia. It was a pleasant visit. We came back to the house afterwards and had barbeque with Bob and Mary.
Meanwhile, in preparation for Sarah's absence in the next four weeks, she and I have been powering through all of the material we have now - which, of course put me behind on writing. With Sarah gone next week I will be working here solo for awhile, but Bill comes in on Friday. He is going to help take up the slack for two weeks. I'm looking forward to his arrival. This message is going to be short. I will try and get back on schedule. Hope everyone is happy and healthy.
Cheers,
Jonina and Byron
