Hi Fellow Arm Chair Travelers:
Today was a normal paperwork and mining day. I did paperwork and Thursday errands. Byron and crew finished up mucking and timbering. For the most part we have two ways into each tunnel. Safety is a great thing. Meanwhile, Byron has found yet another area to dig into. It is in the West tunnel and is throwing rather odd purple specimens. He is promising to bring a few back to putz with here. All in all, it is business as usual. We are going along with the hope in our hearts and determination in our souls. Repeat after me "Must Have Rocks". Repeat all summer.
Now for all you would be visitors. The summer alert is to be issued for the quarry. We have asps. For any of you who think thee are no snakes in the UK - wrong. Rob has spotted not one but two asps behind our container in the quarry. Actually they are fairly scarce in the North. So we have honored visitors. So if you come to visit, ask and we will point them out. Our theory is you leave them alone and they will leave us alone.
Friday I am going to swamp the house out and other basic housekeeping chores. I pick Bill up at Teeside at five. I can't wait. I am hoping that you will all forgive me if I don't write tomorrow night. Hope everyone is well and happy. We are.
Cheers,
Jonina and Byron.Go Back
