Greetings,

A cool clear windy day in the Dales, quite fresh as they say here.

Kerith and I spent the morning following up phone calls to the service department for the ultrasonic, setting up an appointment with the County Planning Commission, making reservations in London and confirming reservations in Skipton for the big August bank holiday weekend when the Harrogate mineral show is on. About 10:15 we went up to The Drift and went over the shipping with Shenker, the various combinations and permutations to get the best and least expensive shipping rate to California.

A little before 11:00 we left for the Durham Dales Center to pick up John and Marie Land for a tour of the mine. They run mineral and gift shops in Stanhope and Durham. We had an enjoyable tour and they were impressed with the amount of work underground since they were there about this time last year. The blasts from the day before had unfortunately taken out several sets of timber in the eastern adit and it was being cleaned up when we got there. We left and had lunch at the DDC, Wednesday being pensioner's day, the place was packed. They followed us up to The Drift to look at production from the past week. After the Land's left, Kerith and I decided to finish the spraying of the stain and preservative on the panels of the shed. Even though it was windy it was the first day without the threat of occurrence of rain since the previous Friday. Joan was there on the computer and left to take a nap - jet lag still snags you much of the first week. Jesse was up at the Rogerley mine and am sure he was digging and observing the replacement of the sets in the eastern adit. We finished the spraying of the shed panels about five and went back to Burnbrae for a quiet evening of reading.

That's it from this place way north of Lake Woebegone.

Best Regards,

Cal & Kerith
