Greetings:

Joan and I are back from our quick vacation to Glasgow. Lots of good restaurents, good pubs, beautiful scenery, and more antiques that we could ever dream of getting back.

As everyone knows, we are in close-up week now, and everything is so far going well. The mine continues to throw good specimens and Byron seems to be having a hard time giving up digging. I told him that the thought of what might be between the Solstice and Birthday pockets whould keep him busy day dreaming all winter. As to cash flow, Joan and I have 1000 UKP cash that we will leave with Jonina. I can also get more from an ATM if needed.

A couple of road bumps, however. First, the AOL on my computer seems to have crashed real good and, of course, I don't have a CD to reload it from. I'll have to send reports from Jonina's computer when I am able, but will try to keep everyone informed on our progress.

The second, and perhaps much more serious problem is that there is an outbreak of foot and mouth just north of us near Allendale town. The upper Dale is on the edge of what they call a "Blue Zone". If I understand correctly, if the outbreak spreads into Weardale, all travel in and out of a blue zone can be prohibited. If this happens, any and all at LA are stuck for a while, and we won't be able to load out any of the fluorite. Jeremy says that the length of quarantine can be variable, but at a minimum could be five days.

I'll keep you all updated on this one.

Cheers,

Jesse and the Crew
