Fluorite Specimens Under $100

Presented here is a small selection of less expensive fluorite specimens from the Rogerley Mine. As always, the scale coin, a British 2 pence, is 1 inch (2.6 cm) in diameter. We have many more specimens so if you don't see something you like here, please inquire about seeing more.






Specimen 06-072.

A plate of well-formed, deep green, untwined fluorite crystals up to 2.0 cm on edge, covering a matrix of altered limestone. Minor amounts of galena also present. 10x8x4 cm overall size. From the Dodgy Bugger, Summer 2006.

A small cluster of gemmy, well-formed, twined fluorite crystals up to 1.2 cm on edge, covering a limestone matrix. 585x3 cm overall size. Very good condition. From the West Cross Cut, 2003.

A cluster of octahedral galenas and untwinned fluorite crystals up to 2.4 cm on edge, covering the face of an ironstone, quartz and fluorite matrix. 7x6x4 cm overall size. From the Dodgy Bugger, August 2005.

A large, well-formed, penetration twin fluorite crystal, 2.5 cm on edge, with numerous smaller fluorites covering a silica and limestone matrix. A number of small galena crystals are also present. 9x6x3 cm overall size. Very good condition. From the Black Sheep Pocket, Summer 2000.
